Our brief for the Great (to us!) Villa Extension

I need to follow up with our architect to see how he's getting on with generating some concepts for us.  Here's the brief we put together listing all our requirements:

By building the extension, we wish to create a property that overall has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 living areas.

Our preference is for contemporary architecture rather than a more traditional style. 

We favour clean, simple design and would like a clear definition between the old and the new.

Other requirements set out below:

·         Indoor/outdoor flow (a must have) -

·         One living area for watching TV and one living area for conversation

·         ‘Conversation’ living area to incorporate gas fire

Nice to haves include:

·         Separate study space

·         Separate utility and pantry

·         Retention of 'sleep out' as studio/garden room.
